The Story Behind the Show

Two moms. A microphone.
And a deep belief that real food changes everything.

Christine Muldoon, NTP and co-host of Modern Ancestral Mamas

Co-host

Christine Muldoon

NTP · Mom · Founder of Nourish The Littles

Christine Muldoon is a former bilingual special education teacher who spent years in both New York City public schools and Chicago private schools, working closely with children and families.

Her journey into real food and holistic health took root as she began connecting the dots between behavior, nourishment, and family dynamics — eventually leading her to become a certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner. What started as a personal shift grew into a deeper calling to support other families in nourishing their children with both real food and real connection.

Christine began sharing her perspective through Nourish the Littles, where she brings together her background in education, her love for nutrition, and her commitment to respectful parenting. Through her platform, podcast, and work with families, she helps caregivers move away from pressure and perfection and toward more peaceful, connected rhythms at home.

She now lives in Texas with her husband and four children, where days are filled with nourishing meals, big emotions, lots of play, and the ongoing work of raising a family with intention.

Co-host

Corey Dunn

Homeschool Mama · Home Cook · Homesteader

Corey Dunn is a second-generation homeschooling mama of four. While her real food journey started in her childhood, it didn't take hold until her second born was healed from serious infant eczema in less than a week as the result of a simple dietary change.

An avid home cook and baker, Corey started sharing her health and kitchen journey on her blog, podcast, and Instagram with the hope of making real, healing, and nutrient-dense food practical and accessible for the everyday modern mom.

She lucked into marrying her childhood crush and now lives in Coastal Georgia on a newly created family homestead where things are accomplished with pure tenacity and lots of googling.

About the Show

Why we started this podcast

The Modern Ancestral Mamas podcast launched because Christine and Corey kept having the same conversation in their private lives — about why mainstream nutrition advice kept failing families, about the gap between ancestral wisdom and conventional approaches, and about how hard it is to find other mothers who think about food and nurturing the way they do.

They decided to just have that conversation publicly.

Three years and over 100 episodes later, it's become something neither of them expected: a real community. Over fifteen thousand loyal listeners to share their journey, looking for something grounded, practical, and rooted in how humans have actually been eating, growing, and living for a very long time.

The guests are practitioners, farmers, researchers, and parents. The topics range from raw milk policy to childhood nervous system development to the case for liver in your kid's lunch. It's not always tidy, but it's always real. That's kind of the point.

What we believe

The principles we won't compromise on

🌿

Real food, first

Not "clean eating" in the influencer sense. Actual whole foods from properly raised animals, prepared the way cultures have prepared them for centuries. We don't do seed oils or ultra-processed food, full stop.

📖

Honest over easy

We'd rather tell you something complicated and true than something simple and wrong. That includes being honest when the research is unclear, when we've changed our minds, or when something we believed turned out to be wrong.

🍳

Practical above all

Ancestral nutrition theory doesn't help if you can't actually execute it on a Tuesday night with tired kids. We care about what works in a real kitchen, for real families, on a real schedule.

🤝

Sponsors we trust

Every brand we partner with is one we've vetted personally. No seed oils, no synthetic vitamins, no greenwashing. If we wouldn't feed it to our own kids, it doesn't get an ad read.
